Reclaim waste asphalt into permanent patch material. Cold material placed in unit will be totally reclaimed within 16 hours. Skin temperature will not exceed 320 degrees while reclaiming. Controls will automatically reduce skin temperature to 300 degrees maximum after material has been reclaimed, allowing material to be held for an extended period of time (approximately 48 hours) for reclaimed material and/or plant mix. Fuel efficient, thermostatically controlled Infrared heating allows you to reclaim, hold and store asphalt at the proper working temperature. Enables you to use asphalt where and when you want it, regardless of the season. Available in two, four, six and eight ton capacities. |

The Most Important Feature of our Pavement Heater is in the design of our CONVERTERS. A) A manifold formed in such a way as to create a rigid array of apertures, which ensures a consistent even flow of fuel-air mixture. The manifold is composed of 30" and/or 36" segments, in order to accommodate the proper expansion and contraction of the arrangement throughout the temperature range encountered. B) The orifice strip which feeds the air-gas mixture, from the manifold, into the combustion area. This welded laminated array ensures uniformity of apertures and long-term durability under intensive use. C) The assembly of the manifold and orifice strip is designed for rigidity and reliability throughout the repeated heating and cooling cycles, intrinsic to infrared equipment. The manifold and orifice strip are held together using heliarc welding, in order to ensure reliability and strength of the union. D) The manifolds use stainless steel reflectors, in order to ensure the proper deflection of the infrared rays toward the asphalt pavement. E) The grid part of the converters are made of high-temperature nickel alloy material, and serve both to limit the combustion area, and to serve as the body which emits the infrared rays. The heater unit is a single or dual system. In the case of a dual system, each half operates independently. The system can be fired in any position, vertical or horizontal. The system has a maximum fuel consumption of 0.410 lbs. per square foot per hour, or 8,950 BTU per square foot per hour. • Bonds old and new asphalt for permanent joint-free repairs. |

At Ray-Tech Infrared we take pride in building efficient road maintenance equipment. The Ray-Tech Joint Heating System employs our many years of experience with infrared technology. In using our proven Ray-Tech Infrared converters in the system, we bring to the asphalt paving industry a means of eliminating a problem that is as old as the industry itself. Cold Joint Bonding. The cold joint has been consistently the weakest and most troublesome part of the pavement. Combined with the poorly compacted joint area of the previously laid pass, it is predisposed to failure. It has been our goal to develop, produce and provide equipment capable of counter acting this problem. At Ray-Tech Infrared we have accomplished this goal. The equipment we offer has been designed as a heating system and must be used as such to attain the desired results. This system has been designed to eliminate the cold joint and density problems inherent to longitudinal asphalt paving joints. The pre-heating units in conjunction with the paver mounted unit provide a dependable system that can be adjusted to most paving conditions. The fully automatic heating system not only protects against overheating of pavement, it also provides ease of operation for consistently dependable results. • Eliminate cold joints |
